Started out with the duck, not bad, about what you world expect for a cold appetizer. The crawfish was really good, got all the flavor and such inside the meat and not just on the shells. My friend likes to drizzle the sauce on his rice but this one is a bit oily. The place is known for their fish and it is just that good. Really tender meat and crisp on the skin and fins. The soup really soaks up the flavor. Must add some enoki mushrooms. They are busy in the daily so come early or send a friend to wait in line for you.

theres a little bit of wait if u arrive at rush hour but its worth it. the tomato fish is very good. frog dish was also good just a little oilier. they gifted complementary grass jelly for dessert which we love

Came by on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but luckily I joined the waitlist so I didn't have to physically wait there. First off the atmosphere was pretty nice, music playing in the background and big screen playing the MTV in the back of the store. The menu was had a few interesting cold dishes and also skewers on top of the fish menu. I was disappointed with the fish as it wasn't very flavorful, there was garlic that was minced but not enough. There was also a bunch of garlics that was in a single garlics from the cover but barely added any flavor. The service was great because the staff came by to ask us how was the food and we briefly mentioned it's lacking in flavor so he brought the fish back in and had the more garlics added. The flavor was so not as flavorful as I was hoping which is a personal preference, it felt like something was missing. I usually go to Xun Yu Si Kao which is a bit more rundown but makes their spicy fish very garlicky. It was a good experience but the food was not good enough for me to want to come back.

Everything was delicious but didn’t stand out to me. There’s a ton of places on 8th Ave with the same dishes with larger portions. I was disappointed in how small portions were for the price tag. We ordered two large fishes. The fishes were not good but the seasoning and soup were great (The fish had very little meat in them and didn’t taste as good as the garnishes) The stand out factor was the garnishes which is crazy! This isn’t a spot I would be a regular customer since it was mediocre and expensive.

Very fast service, we got seated pretty quickly even though it was pretty busy. The surf clam appetizer was spicy and very good. The bullfrog was pretty good too, probably would’ve been better if it was spicier, we chose the less spicy version. The nuts and dessert were great too. Only thing is it’s kind of expensive.
